Harris Names Kerry Hughes Regional President Banking Veteran to Lead Harris' Operations in Northern Metro Chicago
CHICAGO, Jan. 27, 2010 – Harris today announced Kerry Hughes as its new Regional President of the North region of the Chicago Metro area. Hughes will be responsible for 12 branches and will be based out of Harris' Lincoln Park branch located at Elston and Webster.
A 19-year veteran of the banking industry, Hughes joins Harris from Citibank, where she was most recently responsible for the strategic direction and tactical execution of retail banking initiatives in Boston and New York City. As Regional President, Hughes' responsibilities include the management, development, and execution of retail banking strategies and services in Harris' North Region of metropolitan Chicago.
"With nearly two decades of experience in major metropolitan areas, as well as exceptional talent and proven expertise in leading teams of skilled individuals, Kerry is an excellent addition to our already strong group of Retail Banking leaders," said Mike Lewis, Harris' District Executive for metropolitan Chicago.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Hughes currently resides in the River North neighborhood of downtown Chicago. She is a graduate of Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, N.Y., where she earned her business degree. Hughes attended the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia, graduating in 2008.
