United Way

Harris has partnered with United Way for more than fifty years and it is considered our charity of choice. United Way invests the dollars in the areas with the greatest need and where the most impact can be achieved.

Harris is continually recognized by United Way of Metropolitan Chicago as one of its top corporate citizens. Harris is also a key contributor to other United Ways across the country.

In 2006, Harris raised nearly $2million dollars through employee and corporate giving. Our commitment to United Way starts at the top. Ellen Costello, our CEO, serves on the board of directors of United Way of Metropolitan Chicago and previous CEOs have served as Chicago metro campaign chairs.

Harris employees show their commitment and dedication to their local United Ways by serving on boards, allocation committees and volunteering at United Way partner agencies.

Harris is also part of United Way of America 's prestigious National Corporate Leadership program, a group of 100+ companies that are leaders in corporate community caring.
