Harris offers a wide variety of affordable mortgage programs designed to help individuals and families purchase homes of their own.

Home PossibleSM Mortgages
Flexible credit terms and reduced or no down payment requirements enable Harris to say "YES" to more home buyers with our special Home Possible program through Freddie Mac.

Home Possible mortgages offer:

More buying power for those with low or moderate incomes
Low or no down payments
Flexible credit requirements, especially if you have less-than-perfect credit
Easier application and approval process

Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, move-up borrower, retiree, or other, this mortgage lending program may be right for you. Home Possible also offers even greater flexibility for public service employees, such as teachers, law enforcement personnel and licensed healthcare workers.

Harris Neighborhood CommitmentSM
100% financing with no private mortgage insurance (PMI) required and minimum borrower contribution of only $500 are key benefits of the Harris Neighborhood Commitment Program. Harris Neighborhood Commitment is available on 30 year fixed rate mortgages for single family residences, condos and town homes.

Harris HomeBuyer AdvantageSM**
The Harris HomeBuyer Advantage requires down payments as low as 3% which can come from a gift or a grant for purchase or rate term refinances. There are flexible underwriting standards and no application deposits. Single family, two-unit, condos and townhomes are eligible.

Harris HomeBuyer Advantage is offered on a 30 year fixed rate basis at our regular interest rate for a 30 year fixed loan. Harris HomeBuyer Advantage is also available on 5/1, 7/1, 10/1 ARMs.

Housing Grant Programs
Harris provides special grant programs for borrowers with low to moderate incomes. The Harris Affordable Housing Grant programs can provide financial assistance with your closing costs or down payment. Additionally, many local and state governmental agencies offer grants or financial assistance that can be used with a Harris affordable mortgage program. Our Mortgage Specialists can help determine if you are eligible for a grant program.
