GENERAL CHECKING AND SAVINGS ACCOUNT FEATURES
Rate information*: Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change. At our discretion, we may change the rate of interest on your account daily. When an account qualifies for a higher interest rate based on the Collected Balance level, that higher rate will be applied to the entire Collected Balance in the account. Interest rates and annual percentage yields are available by telephone at 1-888-340-2265 or at any Harris location.
Compounding and crediting*: For all Interest Checking accounts and Money Market checking accounts, interest is compounded daily and credited monthly. For all Savings accounts, interest is compounded daily and credited quarterly.
Interest accrual*: For non-cash deposits (for example, checks) to Checking, Money Market, and Savings accounts, interest begins to accrue no later than the Business Day we receive credit. For cash and electronic deposits, interest begins to accrue the Business Day of deposit. We reserve the right not to pay interest on any deposit which is returned to us unpaid by the financial institution on which it is drawn.
Balance computation method*: We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the Collected Balance in the account each day. For Certificates of Deposit and IRA Certificates of Deposit, this method applies a daily periodic rate to the Ledger Balance in the account each day.
Statements: We will provide Checking and Money Market account statements monthly. We will provide all other statements quarterly. We will provide monthly statements if there are ATM deposits, withdrawals or transfers (Statement Savings and Premium Savers), Direct Deposit, automated telephone or online transfers, or Electronic Payments on your account.
Effect of closing account*: If you close your account before interest is credited, you will not receive the accrued interest.
Notice of withdrawal: We reserve the right to require at least seven days' notice prior to any withdrawal.
* Applies to interest-bearing accounts only.
