• In March, 2007 Harris received recognition as a “Champion of Economic Education” for 30 years of support from the Illinois Council on Economic Education.

• Euromoney Ranking, Top 5 Local Private Banks 2007 – This ranking is compiled every year by Euromoney Magazine through a worldwide survey of financial institutions, which rank each other as best in class on numerous investments, services and overall categories.  For the U.S. ranking, Harris Private Bank ranked in a 2nd-place tie (Note:  why promote other competitors by listing their names? The “local” category means that we deliver service from teams in the community.
• Ellen Costello, CEO of Harris was recognized as a Woman Worth Watching in 2008 by “Profiles in Diversity Journal” Magazine. This special issue featured profiles of leading business women nominated by their colleagues, peers, and mentors for their initiative and achievements. Women afforded this honor are considered women of purpose and drive who represent diversity within their spheres of influence.
• Emilia DiMenco (Executive Vice President, Business Banking) was recognized as a Financial Services Champion by the Illinois Small Business Association. This award recognizes her leadership in ensuring Harris is an exemplar in addressing the needs and providing financial services and new initiatives to the small business community and helping those businesses succeed.
• Darrel Hackett (Senior Vice President, Acquisition Integration and Alignment) was recognized by Chicago United with their 2007 Business Leaders of Color Award for his outstanding professional and civic accomplishments.
