Commitment from the Top: The CEO’s Council on the Equitable Workplace
Harris is a member of BMO Financial Group®†, whose most senior executives are members of the CEO’s Council on the Equitable Workplace. They review the progress made towards achieving our diversity, equity and inclusion goals which are aligned to our business strategies. A key goal of the Council is to ensure a workplace where each employee can bring their full potential to being a true advocate for the customer.

The CEO’s Council is supported by Diversity Councils (within business groups) and Affinity Groups (cross-enterprise groups which focus on a particular community). Employees within Harris and from across BMO Financial Group are actively involved in increasing awareness and advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Community Involvement – Sponsorships and Volunteerism
In every community we serve, BMO Financial Group is committed to building, strengthening and enhancing the lives of those who live, work and play here. Every year, we provide financial support, in-kind contributions and hundreds of volunteer hours through our dedicated employees to numerous organizations, groups and causes. For many years, Harris has been a partner in the City of Chicago’s Working in the Schools (WITS) program - a tutoring and mentoring program that supports the education and development of children in the Chicago Public Schools. Through corporate giving, volunteer efforts, board memberships, and community outreach BMO Financial Group executes its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion every day.
